The Downing College student earned a spot at 34th in the under-20 international (fencing for everyone) rankings, and made it to 49th in the under-23 international (fencing for everyone) standings.

Ben was also ranked fifth in Great Britain’s under-20 national rankings. At the Oslo Under-23 International, he finished 30th and was a semi-finalist in the team event, and achieved a place higher, 29th, at the Sofia Under-23 International.

In the pentathlon, Ben was third in the BUCS National Championships in the individual event, and earned success in the team event. He was also part of the Cambridge Blues’ team, earning a full Blue.
