The Newnham College student was selected for her first senior England cap at the Home International Series in Scotland, where she faced Scotland, Wales and the Czech Republic.

“It was an amazing experience to play my first senior international match,” said Freya, who also trialled for Great Britain and was accepted into the training squad as one of the youngest members.

Freya was also drafted onto team Rise in the Fly domestic league, a competition featuring the top lacrosse players in the country in the Olympic format of Lacrosse.

Freya said: “UCAPP has helped me hugely this year. Coming to university, there was so much change both on and off the pitch.

“Having the support of Tristan and the sports centre has been so useful in helping me navigate and adjust my training while at university and balance it with my academics.”
