Having had a long cross country season of illness, the Trinity College student helped Cambridge & Coleridge AC to win a silver medal at the Southern Road Relays.

Having gone close to breaking his personal best in the 3,000m at the BMC Record Breaker Races, George took nearly seven seconds off his best in the 5,000m with a time of 14min 23.54sec at the MK5000 PB Special.

George said: “The gym and strength and conditioning has been immensely useful. Firstly, during the recovery phase (alongside physio) and then gaining the extra strength towards the peak of the season.

“Additionally, Luke, the sports psychologist, gave me a lot of support and I benefited hugely from racing to a high standard after a series of disappointments.”
