Senior leaders offered our volunteer community key insights.
Spotlight on volunteer engagement
The Vice-Chancellor and senior leaders including Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Environmental Sustainability, Bhaskar Vira, Head of House, Mary Hockaday, and Senior Tutor, Dr Judith Bunbury, came together to provide representatives from College and University volunteer boards with updates and insights into teaching and the financial position of the University. These talks, at the first ever Collegiate Volunteer Summit, were designed to equip attendees with current context and knowledge to effectively advocate for Collegiate Cambridge.
This Summit also provided an opportunity for senior leaders to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role of volunteers. Our volunteer community give their time and experience to myriad activities across the Collegiate University and can be exceptionally effective advocates and ambassadors for Cambridge. In further recognition of the importance of our volunteer community, a new Head of Donor and Volunteer Relations role was created to enhance the donor and volunteer experience at Cambridge and to support an expanded volunteer structure for the next Collegiate campaign.
